Spiritual Discipline

PRAY Jesus teaches in Scripture . . . “18 Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.” Matthew 18:18-20 (NRSVUE) At Roberts Memorial we pray in order to draw closer to God in our personal daily devotion, to better discern God’s will, listening for God through the power of the Holy Spirit, and standing in the gap for others as intercessors.

STUDY  Scripture declares …”Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved by him, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly explaining the word of truth.”            2 Timothy 2:15 (NRSVUE)  At Roberts Memorial we study in order to grow as disciples of Christ. Study of the Bible is both personal and corporate. We encourage all members to have daily quiet time studying and meditating on Scripture. But also to participate in weekly study together as a community of faith.  We also offer seasonal studies on topical matters throughout the Christian calendar year. All of our opportunities to study together are designed to move us toward transformation. Currently, we offer the following opportunities for Christian Education through study:
